Helgi Þór Arason

Helgi Þór Arason has been working in the finance industry since 2010. Helgi Þór started as a Loan Documentation Specialist at Íslandsbanki in 2011. In 2013, they were promoted to Specialist at the same company. In 2014, they moved to Landsbankinn as a Loan Specialist and Specialist. In 2016, they joined Reiknistofa bankanna RB as a Business Analyst and Account Manager. In 2020, they began working at five°degrees as a Finance Specialist and Account Manager. As a Business Analyst, Helgi was responsible for creating business cases for new IT solutions, negotiations, teaching a foreign loan system supplier to calculate Icelandic indexation and analyzing client needs when implementing new IT systems. Helgi Þór also took part in business development for a new account to account mobile payments solution called Kvitt. As an Account Manager, they were responsible for creating and maintaining good relationships with clients and handling sales and negotiations.

Helgi Þór Arason completed a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Business Administration - Finance & Economics from Reykjavik University in 2010. Helgi Þór then earned an Examination in securities trading from Reykjavik University in 2016. Finally, they completed a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Corporate Finance from Háskóli Íslands in 2019.
