Anita Gouveia has extensive work experience in various roles and organizations. Anita started their career in 1990 as a Front End Supervisor/Photo/Customer Service Representative at P, where they worked until 2001. From 1999 to 2001, they also served as Assistant Recreation Manager at Delta Chelsea Hotel. In 2001, they became a Project Leader/Trainer at A&P and held the position until 2004. From 2004 to 2005, they worked as a Customer Service Representative at Panalpina Inc. Anita then moved on to become the Canada Learning & Development Manager at Panalpina Inc from 2006 to 2018. In 2018, they joined Trillium Health Partners as a Learning & Organizational Development Consultant, and in 2019, they joined Fix Network World as Director People Development.

Anita Gouveia completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Physical Education & Biology at Wilfrid Laurier University from 1992 to 1995. Anita then pursued a Recreation and Leisure Services Diploma at Humber College without specifying the start and end years. Later, they returned to Wilfrid Laurier University and obtained another Bachelor of Arts degree in Physical Education.

In terms of additional certifications, Anita Gouveia has obtained various qualifications throughout the years. In 2007, they received certification in Accelerated Learning from the Accelerated Learning Center. In 2009, they completed the Kirkpatrick Four Level Evaluation course offered by Kirkpatrick Partners, LLC. In 2011, they obtained the Harrison Assessment certification from Harrison Assessments North America. In 2012, they became a Certified Training & Development Practitioner (CSTD) after completing the program at The Institute for Performance and Learning. In 2014, they participated in AdPro Change Systems Inc.'s Change Management course. In 2015, they completed the Change Management Foundation program provided by APMG International. In 2016, they obtained the Everything DiSC Workplace certification from Everything DiSC: A Wiley Brand. In 2018, they received certifications in All In Culture and What Motivates Me from The Culture Works. Lastly, in 2022, they became a Certified Lego Serious Play Change Facilitator through Capillary Consulting Inc. and a Certified People Analytics Specialist from AIHR | Academy to Innovate HR.
