Roberto Gianani

Medical Director and Chief Medical Officer at Flagship Biosciences

Roberto Gianani has a long and varied work experience. Roberto began their career in 2004 as an Assistant Professor at the University of Colorado Denver Health Science Center. In 2005, they were appointed as the Laboratory Director and Director Roberto'stology Core at the Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes. In 2007, they were a Transfusion Medicine Fellow at Bonfils Blood Center. From 2009 to 2010, they were an Attending Pathologist at Sterling Regional Medical Center, Colorado Plains Medical Center, and Yuma District Hospital. In 2013, they were a Fellow in Surgical Pathology at John H. J. Stroger Hospital of Cook County. From 2014 to 2015, they were the Laboratory Director and Research Director at AmeriDrug and an Assistant Professor at Rocky Vista University. Finally, from 2015 to the present, they have been the Medical Director and Chief Medical Officer at Flagship Biosciences, Inc. and a Major in the United States Army Reserve Medical Corp.

Roberto Gianani completed their high school education at Liceo Classico \"Giulio Cesare\" in 1982. Roberto then attended the University of Rome \"La Sapienza\" and obtained a Medical Degree in Medicine in 1989. In 1994, they received a Specialization certification in Endocrinology from the same university. Roberto also obtained an Italian National Board of Medicine and Surgery certification in 1989. In 2003, they obtained a Colorado Medical License and in 2013, they obtained an Illinois Medical License. Additionally, they obtained various certifications from the American Board of Pathology, including a Pediatric Pathology Board Certification in 2018, an Anatomic Pathology Board Certification in 2014, and a Clinical Pathology Board Certification in 2013. Roberto also obtained a Certificate of Surgical Pathology Fellowship completion from John H. Stroger JR. Hospital of Cook County in 2013, a Certification of Transfusion Medicine Fellowship completion from Bonfils Blood Center in 2007, and a Certification of Pediatric Pathology Fellowship completion from The Children Hospital Denver CO in 2001.
