Quirin Hohendorf

Quirin Hohendorf has a wide range of work experience. In 2014, they completed an internship with the Galiano Conservancy Association. In 2015, they completed internships with TU M\u00fcnchen and Universit\u00e4t Potsdam. In 2016, they were Operations Manager at Baumschulen Gracklauer, where they managed tight schedules to avoid damage to plants and supervised planting crew in tree plantings. In 2018, they were a Forestry Technician at Integrated Pro Action Corp, where they laid out cutblocks, traversed roads, executed timber reconnaissance, determined soil types, and conducted vegetation assessments. Quirin was also a Globalink Mentor Recruitment Team Lead at Mitacs, where they led and coached a team of three in selecting and hiring 140 mentors to welcome and help the integration of international research interns coming to Canada in summer 2018. In addition, they were Director of Communications at the University of Victoria Graduate Student Society, where they evaluated proposals for new website design, increased social media presence, and promoted the re-opening of a student-run restaurant. In 2019, they were a Grower at PRT Growing Services Ltd. and, as of 2020, they are a Senior Plant Scientist at Flash Forest.

Quirin Hohendorf received a Master's Degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Victoria in 2018, and a Bachelor's Degree in Forestry Engineering from Fachhochschule Weihenstephan Freising in 2015.
