Thomas Patouillaud has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Thomas started their career as a startup intern at Qype in 2008. In 2009, Thomas completed their Master's thesis on Indian coal at Imperial College London. Thomas then joined EDF in 2010 as a Nuclear Production Optimizer. In 2011, Thomas co-founded GROOPTOWN Data Science Consulting Group with Pierre Lanvin, where they served as the CEO until 2017. At GROOPTOWN, Thomas and their team advised major companies in their digital transformation and contributed to the creation of Big Data departments in prestigious French banks. Thomas is currently the Co-Founder and CPO of Flatsy, a role they have held since 2015. Overall, Thomas Patouillaud has demonstrated expertise in data science, digital transformation, and nuclear production optimization throughout their career.

Thomas Patouillaud attended CentraleSupélec from 2006 to 2009, where they pursued their Grande Ecole d'Ingénieur degree. In 2008 and 2009, they also studied at Imperial College London and obtained a Msc in Energy & Finance with a distinction. In addition to their formal education, Thomas Patouillaud obtained a certification in Machine Learning from Coursera in June 2014.
