Kiaira McCoy has a diverse range of work experience. Kiaira is currently employed as the Director of the Florida Student Success Center at The Florida Department of Education beginning in March 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Florida State University College of Education starting in August 2021. From August 2019 to May 2021, they served as a Graduate Teaching Instructor at Florida State University. Before that, Kiaira held several roles at the University of Miami, including Assistant Director of Tutoring Services from July 2017 to August 2019, Assistant Director of UMX from February 2016 to June 2017, and Learning Specialist from August 2014 to January 2016. Additionally, they worked as a Graduate Assistant at the University of Miami from August 2013 to May 2014. Kiaira also gained experience in sales and management as a Sales Manager in the Executive Development Program at Macy's from June 2012 to August 2013. Kiaira started their career as a Marketing and Promotions Student Assistant and a Mock Interview Mentor at Florida State University from August 2009 to April 2012. Additionally, Kiaira worked as a Marketing Intern at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts from May 2011 to June 2011, where they developed a social media marketing plan, assisted in event planning, and wrote articles.
Kiaira McCoy is currently a PhD candidate at Florida State University, where they are pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Higher Education. Kiaira began their doctoral studies in 2019 and is expected to complete their program in 2023.
Prior to their PhD studies, Kiaira obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Public Relations from the University of Miami. Kiaira attended the University of Miami from 2013 to 2016.
Kiaira's undergraduate education was completed at Florida State University - College of Business, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Marketing. Kiaira studied at the College of Business from 2008 to 2012.
In addition to their academic degrees, Kiaira has obtained two certifications from Florida State University. In December 2021, they earned an Institutional Research Certificate, and in August 2021, they obtained a Program Evaluation Certificate. Both certifications were obtained from their current institution.
