David Thornton

David Thornton is a Senior Technical Product Manager who supports Fleet Cost & Care’s (FCC) customer base at-large by designing and implementing new features and enhancements throughout the FCC suite of products. Working with the development team, David drives FCC’s technology forward.

After twelve years of engineering in the U.S. Army, David spent three years working for a crane & rigging operation, before transitioning to software development and project management for FCC. His background in fleet operations ensures the needs of fleet management professionals is met in FCC’s software. David believes in well-designed, user friendly applications with strong behind-the-scenes logic that provides users with valuable data, improving their fleet operations.

David leads the redesign of the user interface for FCC’s product line, has managed company-wide software implementations for several multi-branch crane & rigging companies, and played an integral role in helping convince of one of North America’s largest crane companies to adopt FCC’s mobile fleet management application. In addition to David’s work experience he is a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO).

David holds a bachelor’s degree in software development and security from the University of Maryland UC.
