Greg Valentin has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Greg currently serves as an Investor/Advisor at Oregon Venture Fund since January 2021. In 2017, they joined Flex Force Enterprises Inc. as the President, Chief Operating Officer, and Secretary, and later transitioned to the role of Chief Operating Officer and Secretary. At FLIR Systems, they held multiple roles, including General Manager responsible for the Dubai service operation, Director of Service Operations leading a team of 55 reports and international service centers, and Quality Manager implementing Lean manufacturing techniques. Greg also had a brief stint as the Sole Proprietor of Swift Coffee Roasters in 2014, where they managed all aspects of the business. Prior to that, Greg was the Sole Proprietor of Greyhound Juice from 2003 to 2010, catering to the skin care needs of cyclists and inventing several products. Greg started their career at Etec Systems as a System Design Engineer, leading a significant development project. Greg also worked at Interpoint as a Lean Black Belt/Process Engineer, implementing lean manufacturing and utilizing Six Sigma to improve existing processes.
Greg Valentin has a strong educational background in business and engineering. Greg obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering from Harvey Mudd College, where they studied for three years from 1994 to 1997. Greg later pursued a Master of Science in Engineering (MSEng) degree at the same institution, completing their studies in 1998.
Afterward, Greg Valentin attended the New York Institute of Technology, where they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree specializing in Business. Greg studied at this institute for two years, from 2001 to 2003.
In addition to their formal education, Greg Valentin has also obtained various executive certificates from MIT Sloan Executive Education. Greg obtained an Executive Certificate in Management and Leadership in November 2011, followed by an Executive Certificate in Technology, Operations, and Value Chain Management in November 2012. In March 2013, they earned an Executive Certificate in Strategy and Innovation, and later that same year in September, they obtained an Advanced Certificate for Executives in Management, Innovation, and Technology from MIT Sloan Executive Education.
