Mika Cross

Mika Cross has a diverse work experience in various government and private organizations. Mika started their career in the US Army as an Army Officer and Soldier from 1995 to 2004. Mika then worked in the Defense Intelligence Agency, where they served as the Chief of Staff for Strategic Communications and Initiatives, focusing on creating a diverse and inclusive workplace. At the US Department of Labor, they directed the Strategic Communications and Public Engagement portfolio and also served as the Designated Federal Officer for the Federal Advisory Committee on Veterans Employment and Training. Mika also worked as a Human Capital Strategist at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, leading the Agency's flexible workplace policies and programs. Mika was also a Human Capital Consultant and Special Advisor at the US Office of Personnel Management. Mika then joined FlexJobs as the Vice President of Employer Engagement and Strategic Initiatives, where they led initiatives to bring more remote and flexible jobs to the market. Currently, they work as a Strategic Advisor for the US Federal Government, advising Senior Government Leaders on implementing successful strategies and initiatives in various areas including cultural transformation and employee engagement. Mika also has experience as a Workplace Transformation Strategist and Innovative Workforce Futurist at Strategy@Work, LLC.

Mika Cross obtained a B.A. in Communication from the University of Louisville in the years 1997-2000. Mika then pursued a M.P.A. in Public Administration from Parker College of Business-Georgia Southern University from 2000-2002.
