Deborah Kirkman

Deborah Kirkman is currently the Director of Advanced Aviation Systems at Flight Safety Foundation. Prior to this role, Deborah founded Piedmont Healing and Defensive Arts, LLC, focusing on spiritual and physical health practices. Deborah has a background in unmanned aircraft systems, having served as an Outcome Leader at The MITRE Corporation and FAA advisor. Deborah has also been involved in various committees and work groups related to aviation, such as the RTCA NextGen Advisory Committee and RTCA Business Case and Performance Metrics Work Group. Deborah holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from University of Virginia. Additionally, Deborah is a Reiki Master and a certified Yoga Teacher.
