Fazeela Waheed

Fazeela Waheed is a seasoned academic and health management professional with extensive experience in higher education and leadership roles within health sciences. Currently serving as a Casual Lecturer at IIBIT-Federation University and a Casual Tutor at Flinders University since February 2023, Fazeela has previously held significant positions, including Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences and Academic Dean at The Maldives National University from February 2019 to July 2022. Responsibilities in these roles involved overseeing faculty management, academic functions, and training needs in the health sector. Fazeela's experience also includes serving as an Assistant Professor at the Research Centre of Maldives National University from 2016 to 2019, where research project management and collaboration with international partners were key duties. Fazeela's academic background includes a PhD in Health Service Management and Administration from The University of Western Australia and a Master's degree from Curtin University, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Health Science from Flinders University.
