Global Partnerships Manager at Floodbase

Annalee Tai's work experience starts in 2017 when they worked as a Private Tutor at Way Education. During their time there, they tutored students in English, History, and Creative Writing, and curated personalized courses for international students adjusting to American schooling.

In 2019, Annalee worked as a Research Assistant at Williams College, where they were selected by Dr. Phoebe Cohen to investigate the origins of eukaryotes by measuring carbon isotopic signatures of individual Proterozoic microfossils. Annalee also presented their work at the 2019 Northeast Geobiology Conference in Amherst, MA.

In the same year, Annalee also worked as a Research Assistant at the University of California, Santa Barbara. In this role, they picked, imaged, and identified fossil eukaryotes from the Chuar group of Grand Canyon sediments. Annalee also prepared specimens for carbon isotopic analysis to gain insights into their evolution and ancient environments.

More recently, Annalee has been working at Floodbase, first as a Partner Success Specialist and later as the Global Partnerships Manager. As a Partner Success Specialist, they delivered risk analytics to government and humanitarian users, working with the UN to support countries in Southern Africa, Eastern Africa, and the Sahelian region. Annalee was also the focal point for flood support in multiple countries in Central and Southern Asia. In their current role as Global Partnerships Manager, Annalee leads all global partnerships in the public sector, driving business development in emerging markets and ensuring that their risk products bring value to end-users through capacity building, science communication, and user support.

Annalee Tai obtained a Bachelor's degree in Geological and Earth Sciences/Geosciences from Williams College, which they attended from 2017 to 2021. In addition, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in the Department of Māori Studies at The University of Auckland from 2020 to 2021. Prior to their university education, Annalee attended Bard High School Early College from 2012 to 2016, where they obtained an Associate of Arts - AA degree.
