David Kian

David Kian has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as an Associate at Hill, Ward & Henderson from 1994 to 1999. David then served as a Law Clerk for Judge Steven D. Merryday at the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida from 1994 to 1996.

In 1999, Kian joined the University of Florida as an Associate General Counsel, a position they held until 2004. During this time, they also worked as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Florida College of Law from 2003 to 2004.

From 2004 onwards, Kian held various roles at Florida Atlantic University, including Vice President and General Counsel, where they served as the Chief Legal Officer for the university. David supervised a team of attorneys and support staff, providing legal services to the University. David also served as the Interim Chief Executive Officer from 2015 to 2016.

David Kian holds a B.A. and a J.D. from the University of Florida.
