Warren Sponholtz currently serves as the State Chief Information Officer for the State of Florida, a role commenced in August 2024, focused on modernizing IT infrastructure and enhancing cybersecurity. Prior to this position, Warren was the Deputy Chief Information Security Officer at Florida Digital Service from December 2022 to August 2024, where responsibilities included developing cybersecurity strategies and fostering a culture of compliance. Warren also held the position of Chief Information Officer at the Florida Department of Environmental Protection from November 2012 to December 2022, overseeing IT planning and strategy. Earlier in Warren's career, portfolio management was executed for the Florida Department of Transportation from April 2002 to November 2012, and foundational service was provided in the United States Marine Corps from July 1994 to June 2000. Warren holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems from Florida State University.
