Elena Martinez

Elena Martinez is the current Associate Director of ADM Events and Operations at Florida International University. Elena has been with the school since February 2009, previously holding the title of Assistant Director of Special Events and Community Outreach for the Office of Alumni Relations. In this role, Elena was responsible for planning and executing alumni association events, as well as procuring sponsorships and donations. Elena also provided administrative support to the Director of Special Events, including scheduling meetings, making travel arrangements, and submitting reimbursements. Elena has also served on various committees for events and University initiatives.

Prior to their work at Florida International University, Elena was an assistant to the Development Coordinator at the school from June 2006 to November 2006.

Elena Martinez has a certificate in Hospitality & Tourism Management from Florida Atlantic University - College of Business. Elena also has an M.B.A. from Nova Southeastern University in Business Administration and Management, General. Elena Martinez's undergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Science in Communication from Florida International University, with a major in Advertising and a minor in Psychology. Elena Martinez also has a certification from LinkedIn in Communicating with Emotional Intelligence.

They are on a team with Albert Hoyt - Associate Director - Graduate Admissions, Jaclyn Jonusas - Associate Director - Undergraduate Admissions. Their manager is Jody Glassman, Assistant Vice President.
