Omar Monteagudo

Omar Monteagudo serves as a FTCE/FELE Test Development and Validation Member at the Florida Department of Education, a position held since March 2024. Monteagudo has extensive experience in educational leadership with over a decade as Principal at Miami-Dade County Public Schools, where roles include Executive Lead Principal and various instructional leadership positions. Additionally, Monteagudo contributes as an Adjunct Professor at Florida International University. An alumnus of the Cahn Fellows Program at Teachers College, Columbia University, Monteagudo holds a Doctor of Law degree from Florida International University and two Master of Arts degrees in Latin American Studies and Political Science from the University of Florida, alongside a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Florida International University. Monteagudo was also a Fellow at the United States Agency for International Aid Leadership Center of the Americas in 1994.
