Erik Shinn

Erik Shinn currently serves as the Director of Artistic Operations for The Florida Orchestra, where responsibilities include directing production for performances, managing logistics, and overseeing the operations budget and season scheduling. Prior experience includes serving as the Director of Operations & Artistic Planning for the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra, focusing on smooth production and scheduling of concerts and events, while ensuring compliance with contracts. Erik Shinn also held positions at York Symphony Orchestra as Director of Operations and Concert Operations and Personnel Manager, and at the Music Academy of the West as Housing Director. Additional experience includes performing as Bass Trombone for the Ocala Symphony Orchestra and Principal Bass Trombone for The Gainesville Orchestra, alongside teaching roles at the University of Florida. Erik Shinn's educational background includes a Doctor of Music from Florida State University, a Master of Music from Baylor University, and a Bachelor of Music Education from Penn State University.
