Florida Public Service Commission
Tom Ballinger has had a long and successful career at the Florida Public Service Commission (FPSC), primarily in the field of electric utility system planning and reliability. Tom started working at the FPSC in 1985 and has held the role of Director, Division of Engineering since 2012. Throughout their career, they have been involved in various policy issues related to the electric industry, such as promoting renewable energy generation, energy conservation programs, and storm hardening efforts. Tom has also provided testimony and technical recommendations before the FPSC, the FERC, and made presentations before the Florida Legislature.
Tom Ballinger attended Florida State University from 1982 to 1985, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering.
