Maria Alfano

Maria Alfano is the Chief Operating Officer and one of the founders of FloridaMakes, an organization dedicated to enhancing the productivity and technological capabilities of Florida's manufacturers since February 2015. Prior to this role, Maria provided strategic and operational consulting to various sectors from 2006 to February 2015 and served as the Director of Operations for the Manufacturing Extension Partnership from 1995 to 2005, where significant improvements in productivity were achieved. Earlier experience includes directing operations at X-Press s.r.l., resulting in doubled sales within six months, and serving as General Manager at Sagraf, s.r.l., where Maria transformed a struggling company into a profitable entity with over 200% productivity increases. Maria holds a Master of Science in Business Administration from Boston University Metropolitan College and a Bachelor of Arts in Italian and Philosophy from Mount Holyoke College.
