Torrance Higgins

Torrie is a deeply passionate, empathetic peak performance coach, consultant and educator whose coaching philosophy is rooted in the deep-seated belief that everyone has the potential to achieve success and growth. She believes that effective coaching is all about demystifying what it actually takes to be great, and is committed to challenging her clients to cultivate habits that leverage their neurobiology to their advantage.

Torrie currently serves as the Flow Research Collective’s Zero to Dangerous Head Coach, where she is fortunate to lead a group of world-class Peak Performance experts as they bring more flow to the global community. Prior to joining FRC, she was the Director of Peak Performance for the Department of Veterans Affairs Warriors to Workforce (W2W) Program and Director of HRS Consulting, Inc.’s Mental Performance and Resilience Optimization (MPRO) Program, where she created and delivered innovative training programs designed to enhance leadership skills and maximize human potential. Torrie began her career in peak performance as the Tactical Mental Conditioning Coach for the Army’s Special Operations Aviation Regimen (SOAR), during which time she trained Special Forces pilots and operators on effective attentional focus, communication and decision-making skills under pressure. Over the last ten years, in her private practice, Torrie has had the opportunity to coach a diverse range of clientele, from mountaineers preparing to summit Mount Everest and K2 to business leaders of Fortune 500 companies. In addition, she has held adjunct faculty positions at Towson University and George Washington University. She received her Ph.D. in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology, with a concentration in Biobehavioral Science and Performance Psychology, from the University of Florida and a B.A. in Psychology, with a concentration in Behavioral Neuroscience, from Randolph-Macon College.
