James Cotter has a diverse work experience in the food industry. James began their career with Bimbo Bakeries USA in 2003 as a Territory Sales Manager, where they successfully managed the sales results of 18 independent operators and implemented a restructuring of the sales area. James then progressed to the role of Area Sales Manager, overseeing the safety and sales results of six managers, 28 independent operators, and 24 union associates. During this time, they also served as an account manager for four local independent supermarkets and implemented strategic promotional programs, resulting in significant sales growth. James then took on the role of Interim Regional Manager, managing safety and sales results for six managers, 32 independent operators, and 26 union employees. James also handled facility management for two distribution centers and implemented monthly safety meetings. Most recently, James joined Flowers Foods & Subsidiaries as an Area Sales Director in 2022.
James Cotter has studied Law Enforcement Intelligence Analysis at Massasoit Community College. In addition to their college education, they have obtained various certifications including "Being an Effective Team Member," "Bill George on Self-Awareness, Authenticity, and Leadership," "Introduction to Forgiveness Meditation," "Job Search Strategies," "Lean Six Sigma Foundations," "Strategic Thinking," "The Six Morning Habits of High Performers," "What Are Your Blind Spots? James also attended a Diversity and Inclusion Seminar and a Leadership Seminar offered by Bimbo Bakeries USA in 2013 and 2011, respectively.
