Ben Hidalgo

Ben Hidalgo has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over two decades. Their most recent role is as the Director of Engineering at Flow, a position they have held since January 2021. Prior to their current position, they worked as the Principal Software Engineer at Projector from June 2019 to January 2020. Before that, they held the role of Principal Software Engineer at BlueVoyant, where they developed a Java microservice for processing and storing large amounts of data. Ben also enhanced a Scala/Java Spark service while working at BlueVoyant.

In 2017, Ben served as the Head of Engineering at VIDA & Co., leading the technical due diligence response for a successful acquisition by Cimpress. Ben was responsible for transforming the architecture from monolithic to microservice-oriented on Kubernetes and served as the primary administrator and DevOps expert for Google Cloud.

From 2012 to 2016, Ben worked as the Senior Director of Engineering at Revinate. Prior to that, they held the position of Principal at SunGard from 2007 to 2012 and Manager at BearingPoint from 2003 to 2007. Ben began their career as a Senior Consultant at American Management Systems in 1999.

Throughout their career, Ben has demonstrated expertise in software engineering, leadership, DevOps, and transforming architectures.

Ben Hidalgo has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Ben also has a Science Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the same institution.
