Americo B. is an experienced executive with a robust background in business development and operations within the mining and engineering sectors. Currently serving as Vice President Executive Accounts and Commodities at FLSmidth since March 2020, Americo previously held the position of Global Head of Business Development - Mining at thyssenkrupp from December 2016 to March 2020. Americo’s career includes key roles at Jacobs, where responsibilities encompassed Regional Vice President Business Development for both South America and Southern Europe from June 2009 to June 2016, as well as significant experience at Fluor Corporation, serving as Country General Manager and Manager of Operations from June 1990 to December 2000. Academic qualifications include an Engineer’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universidade Estadual de Campinas and advanced studies at ESMT Berlin, Thunderbird School of Global Management, and UC Irvine.
