Martijn van Bemmel

Martijn Van Bemmel has over 19 years of experience in the legal field. Martijn started their career at AKD Prinsen Van Wijmen, where they worked as an Associate from December 2003 to October 2007. Martijn then joined Baker & McKenzie as an Associate from November 2007 to October 2009. Martijn later joined Norton Rose Fulbright, where they held the position of Senior Associate from October 2009 to March 2013. After taking a sabbatical and working as a scuba dive instructor from April 2013 to June 2014, they joined Lightsource Renewable Energy as a Legal Counsel from November 2014 to July 2017. Martijn then worked at Conergy as a Senior Legal Counsel for the APAC region from July 2017 to August 2018. Following this, they joined blueleaf energy as a Senior Legal Counsel from August 2018 to August 2019, and later became the General Counsel from August 2019 to August 2022. Currently, Martijn serves as the Vice President / General Counsel, APAC at Fluence.

Martijn Van Bemmel completed their Master of Law degree at Utrecht University from 1996 to 2003. In 2008 and 2009, they also attended a post-graduate specialization course in Energy Law at the VU Law Academy.
