Rory Weaver has a diverse educational background in the field of international relations and Chinese studies. In 2012, they started their undergraduate studies at the University of Oxford, where they pursued a degree in Chinese Studies. Rory completed this program in 2016. During their time at Oxford, Rory also had the opportunity to study abroad at Peking University in 2013-2014 as a visiting student, further deepening their knowledge of Chinese language and literature.

In 2015, Rory attended a summer language course at the National Taiwan Normal University, focusing on spoken and written Mandarin Chinese. This experience allowed him to enhance their language skills and gain a more comprehensive understanding of Chinese language and literature.

After completing their undergraduate degree, Rory joined the University of St Andrews in 2016 to pursue a Master of Letters (MLitt) in Middle East and Central Asia Security Studies, with a specialization in International Relations and Affairs. Rory concluded this program in 2017.
