Gerhard Smit

Gerhard Smit is a seasoned process engineer with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry. Currently serving as Lead Process Engineer and Process Manager at Fluor Corporation since April 2013, Gerhard has led significant projects, including the design of a gas processing facility and the development of utility systems for large-scale operations. Prior to this, Gerhard held roles such as Engineering Manager at ADC Projects, where multiple power projects were managed, and New Business Manager at POWER Engineers, overseeing various energy-related developments. With a professional background that includes positions such as Technical Director at Single Destination Engineering and Senior Process Engineer at Sasol Technology, Gerhard possesses a solid foundation in chemical engineering, underscored by a Bachelor of Science degree from North-West University.
