Technical Art Director at Flying Wild Hog

Roy Acosta has an extensive background in technical art and leadership roles within the gaming and VR industry. Starting in 2015 at Banana Scope as a UE4 Lead and Blueprint Programmer, they led the development of high-quality services and secured a significant contract with an outsource studio. Moving on to realworld one in 2020, they founded the TA team and improved efficiency with a focus on performance. Currently, at Flying Wild Hog as the Technical Art Director, Roy oversees the direction and growth of the Technical Art, VFX, and TechAnim team, while collaborating with HR to build a stronger team for upcoming projects.

Rufino (Roy) Acosta completed a Master's degree in Game Design & Game Art at UA School in 2017-2018. Prior to that, they pursued a degree in Informática with a focus on Computing applied to Management at Instituto Abastos in 1996-1998. Moreover, they obtained various certifications in leadership, technical skills, and game development from institutions like IBM, LinkedIn, and Epic Games between 2020 and 2024.
