Gerard Montocchio has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Gerard started their career as an Assistant Personnel Officer at Anglo American in 1987 and later worked as a Personnel Officer at Robor Steel and Divisional Senior Personnel Officer at Dorbyl Light & General Engineering. In 1990, they became the Regional HR Manager at National Brands Ltd - Becketts Division before eventually progressing to the role of Group HR Development Director at National Brands Ltd in 1994. In 2000, they joined PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Principal Consultant and Practice Leader. Gerard then worked at IBM Canada Ltd as an Associate Partner in the Human Capital department before moving to Progressive Moulded Products as the VP of Human Resources in 2004. Gerard's next role was at Deloitte, where they served as the Practice Leader for Private Company Services Human Capital from 2006 to 2008. Currently, Gerard is employed at the Flynn Group of Companies as the Senior Vice President of Human Resources & Leadership Development.
Gerard Montocchio received a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences with a focus on Industrial Sociology and Social Anthropology from the University of the Witwatersrand between 1982 and 1984. In 2014, they attended the Harvard Kennedy School for a short course in the Art and Practice of Leadership Development.
