David Thompson

David Thompson has extensive work experience in the insurance and risk management industry. David started their career as a Maintenance Engineer at Placer Dome in May 1984. David then joined FM Global as a Field Engineer in March 1985 and later worked as an Account Manager from June 1986 to January 2000. From January 2000 to June 2004, they served as Branch Manager at FM Global. David then became the Vice President - Operations Manager for Toronto Operations from June 2004 to December 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Operations Sr. Vice President - Special Industries Market Development & Canada Chief Agent at FM Global from January 2023 onward.

From 1980 to 1984, David Thompson attended The University of British Columbia where they earned a BASC degree in Mechanical Engineering.
