Martin Exel

Martin Exel is a Senior Officer at FMA Finanzmarktaufsicht Österreich since June 2016, responsible for on-site inspections and off-site analyses of investment and pension funds, as well as representing the organization in international committees. Prior to this position, Martin Exel served as Portfolio Manager for CEE Fixed Income at Pioneer Investments Austria GmbH from September 2008 to May 2016, focusing on the management of public and specialized funds in Austria, the Czech Republic, and Romania. Additional experience includes roles as Portfolio Manager International Bonds at Volksbank Invest Kapitalanlagegesellschaft m.b.H., Portfolio Management Credit at Österreichische Volksbanken AG, and positions in Treasury and Investment Banking at BAWAG and Raiffeisen Zentralbank Austria AG. Martin Exel holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business), obtained in 2002.
