Lesley started their career as a Feedback Assessor and Executive Coach at the Center for Creative Leadership. Lesley then became a Professor (Adjunct) at the University of Maryland Baltimore County. After that, they became a Leadership Development Coach at the University of Maryland University College - National Leadership Institute.

In January 2015, Lesley joined GDIT (General Dynamics Information Technology) as a Senior Manager - People Solutions. In this role, they consulted with GDIT’s external clients and other GDIT groups on diversity and inclusion, executive coaching, workforce planning, assessment development and employee engagement.

In May 2019, Lesley was promoted to Director - People Solutions. In this role, they were responsible for advising, scoping and delivering people solutions and strategies focused on increasing organizational performance and/or diversity and inclusion outcomes.

Lesley has a proven track record in helping organizations achieve their goals by developing their people. Lesley is passionate about helping others reach their full potential and is excited to continue doing so at FMP Consulting.

Lesley Perkins has a Ph.D./MS in Industrial and Organizational (I/O) Psychology from The University of Georgia. Lesley also has a B.S. (with honors) in Psychology from Howard University. Additionally, Lesley Perkins has USF Corporate Training and Professional Education in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate, Hogan Assessment Systems in Hogan Assesments, Center for Creative Leadership in CCL's Benchmarks, The Coaches Training Institute (CTI) in Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC), International Coach Federation in Professional Certified Coach (PCC), SHRM in SHRM-SCP, Roger Schwarz & Associates in The Skilled Facilitator, and Paradigm Personality Labs in Workplace Big Five.
