Ray Swingle has a diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity and IT support. Ray'smost recent position is as a Senior Security Engineer at FM:Systems since June 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Consultancy Manager - Threat and Vulnerability at Covestro from August 2021 to February 2023. From July 2019 to August 2021, they served as a Cyber Security Solutions Engineer at FoxGuard Solutions, Inc.

Ray also has experience in teaching, having worked as an Adjunct Faculty Member at ECPI University Roanoke in January 2020 to March 2020. Ray has a strong background in cyber security, demonstrated through their role as a Cyber Security Engineer at Radford University from August 2012 to June 2019. At Radford University, they developed and implemented continuous vulnerability scanning and remediation program and provided assistance for the ISO with Incident Response.

Before that, Ray worked as a Cyber Security Analyst at Jefferson Lab from April 2010 to August 2012. Ray provided computer help desk support, technical training, and overall assistance in daily administration. Ray also worked as a User Support Specialist at Jefferson Lab from June 2009 to April 2010, where they provided support for end user computer issues and assisted with domain, print server, and Unix administration.

Earlier in their career, Ray worked as a Help Desk Specialist at Net Results Group from October 2006 to August 2007. Ray managed wireless accounts for large corporations, performed troubleshooting, and developed infrastructure for new clients. Ray also served as a Field Security Engineer at Bel Network Integration and Support from January 2006 to October 2006, resolving computer security issues and performing security audits for clients. Additionally, they worked as a Field Engineer at Little Mountain Technologies from February 2006 to August 2006, resolving network and computer problems and conducting security audits for clients.

Ray began their career at Bell Tech.Logix as a Desktop Support Specialist, where they started as a driver for their Apple parts depot and later became an Apple repair tech. During a summer project, they were responsible for managing the inventory of 20,000 iBook laptops owned by a client from November 2004 to December 2005.

Ray Swingle has a strong education background in the field of computer and information systems security. Ray obtained a Master of Science degree in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance from ECPI University. Ray completed this degree program in 2018.

In addition to their MS degree, Ray also pursued a Master of Science degree in Cyber Security Operations from ECPI University. Ray started this program in 2017 and completed it in 2018.

Prior to their master's degrees, Ray earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems, with a focus on general studies. Ray attended ECPI University from 2004 to 2006 to complete this program.

Ray Swingle is highly qualified in their field and has obtained several certifications to enhance their expertise. Ray holds the (ISC)2 Security CISSP certification from (ISC)², which they acquired in May 2019. Ray also possesses the CCSK certification from the Cloud Security Alliance, which they obtained in January 2017. Additionally, they achieved the GIAC Penetration Tester (GPEN) certification from GIAC in March 2016.
