Francois Chaubard

Francois Chaubard has a diverse work experience. Francois started their career at Lockheed Martin in 2009 as an Intern and then as part of the Engineering Leadership Development Program. In 2009, they also worked at NASA as a USRP Researcher. In 2014, they became a Computer Vision Engineer at Bay Sensors. In 2015, they worked at Apple as a Deep Learning Researcher. From 2013 to 2016, they worked at Stanford University as a Teaching Assistant for various courses such as CS229: Machine Learning, CS224D: Deep Learning for NLP, and CS231M: Mobile Computer Vision. Francois also created the class from ground up. In 2016, they became the CEO of Focal Systems, a Silicon Valley based startup that specializes in retail AI solutions.

Francois Chaubard's education history consists of four educational experiences. Francois attended the University of Delaware from 2006 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering. Francois then attended Stanford University from 2012 to 2014, where they obtained a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering. From 2015 to 2016, they attended Stanford University again, obtaining a Master's degree in Computer Science. Lastly, they are currently attending Y Combinator, where they are part of the W16 program.
