Alex Aaltonen

Alex Aaltonen is an accomplished geologist with extensive experience in exploration and resource development across various geological projects. Currently serving as the General Manager of Exploration at Focus Minerals since February 2018, Alex leads an exploration team and optimizes procedures for modern best practices. Previous roles include Chief Geologist for Beadell Resources Ltd., where responsibilities encompassed mining and exploration services in Australia and Brazil, and as Exploration Manager for Deno Gold Mining Company, where Alex managed NI43-101 compliant exploration plays. Alex’s career also includes consulting positions at Genesis Geological Services, where significant contributions were made to various projects. Educational qualifications include a B.Sc Honours in Geology from The University of Western Australia.
