Kelvin Valdes started their work experience as an Engineering Science Student at the University of Rochester from August 2015 to May 2020. Kelvin then worked as a LEAP Tutor at LEAP (Learning and Exploring at Play) from August 2017 to May 2019. Kelvin later joined City Year Greater Boston as a Tutor in August 2021, where they provided academic and social-emotional support to lower-income children in Boston public schools. In August 2022, they joined Schneider Electric as a Services Specialist I. Kelvin's most recent role is as a Test Engineer at Folia Materials, a startup company focused on developing sustainable solutions for food packaging. Their responsibilities include testing and developing form factors for microwave-safe packaging using sustainable materials. Kelvin works closely with different departments and management to define project requirements and meet business needs.

Kelvin Valdes completed their high school education from 2011 to 2015 at the Advanced International Certificate of Education, where they earned an AICE Diploma with Pass. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Engineering Science at the University of Rochester from 2015 to 2020.
