David Byrd

David Byrd is an experienced educational leader currently serving as the Executive Director of Human Resources at Folsom Cordova Unified School District since September 2025. Prior to this role, David was the Director of School Improvement Support at Elk Grove Unified School District from April 2019 to September 2025, and has held multiple leadership positions including Principal at both Roseville High School and Monterey Trail High School. David began the educational career as a Program Specialist and High School Social Studies Teacher in Elk Grove Unified School District, following a position as a Marketing Advertising Specialist at The Sacramento Bee. Educational qualifications include a Master of Education in Instructional Design and Technology from Western Governors University, an Administrative Services Credential from California State University-Sacramento, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Sociology of Law from the University of California, Davis.
