Siene Swinnen

Siene Swinnen is currently a PhD Researcher and FWO Fellow at Fonds Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek - Vlaanderen, working on a project focused on Metal Organic Frameworks (MOFs) as artificial proteases for proteomics applications since November 2021. Siene gained experience during a summer job at the Lab of Bioinorganic Chemistry at KU Leuven in July 2021 and completed an R&D internship at ViroVet from February to June 2020, where involvement in developing innovative vaccines against viral diseases in livestock occurred. Siene holds a Master’s degree in Biochemistry and Biotechnology from KU Leuven (2019-2021) and a Bachelor’s degree in the same field from KU Leuven (2016-2020).
