Monica Billig

Monica Billig is an experienced professional with a background in grant writing, policy advising, and program management. Currently serving as a Grant Writer at the Food Bank of South Jersey since May 2023, Monica previously worked as a Policy Advisor for the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment from October 2019 to February 2023, where significant contributions included leading the development and revision of rules and regulations and managing stakeholder processes. Other roles include serving as a Program Manager for the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay, supporting environmental finance projects as a Faculty Assistant at the University of Maryland, and teaching yoga to children as an Educator with bhavanaKids. Monica holds a B.A. in Economics from Smith College, a Master of Public Policy from the University of Maryland, and has studied Economic Development at SOAS University of London.
