Fighting Hunger Where We Live.

Food Gatherers is the food rescue and food bank program serving Washtenaw County. We believe that in a nation of plenty, no one should go hungry. We partner with 170 agencies and programs, providing direct food assistance in the form of hot meals, nutritious snacks or emergency groceries to low-income adults, seniors and children in Washtenaw County.

Food Gatherers exists to alleviate hunger and eliminate its causes in our community by: 
- Reducing food waste through the rescue and distribution of perishable and non perishable food
- Coordinating with other hunger relief providers
- Educating the public about hunger
- Developing new food resources.

The Management and Oversight team at Food Gatherers ensures the effective operation and strategic direction of the organization. This team coordinates annual giving and grant development, oversees warehouse operations, manages client cases, and handles financial and human resource management, thereby supporting Food Gatherers' mission to alleviate hunger and eliminate its causes in Washtenaw County.
