Our vision at the Food Safety Authority Ireland (FSAI) is safe and trustworthy food for everyone and our mission is protecting consumers by leading a collaborative food safety community to continuously raise food standards and create a culture of excellence.  We place consumers at the centre of all our activities.  Consumers have a fundamental right to safe food and also that they are not being misled about the food they are purchasing or eating.

The Compliance and Enforcement team at the Food Safety Authority of Ireland is responsible for ensuring food businesses adhere to food safety regulations and standards. They conduct audits and investigations, develop and implement enforcement policies, and provide training and compliance support to stakeholders.
