Christine O’Rourke

Chris O’Rourke is Foodshare’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Chris is responsible for the planning, management and oversight of warehouse operations, volunteer services, partner program relations and food sourcing. In her 29 years with Foodshare she has served in many capacities, doing outreach to area food companies as the organization’s first "food solicitor" in 1988. She later took on the roles of Volunteer Coordinator, Agency Relations Manager and Associate Director, before assuming her current position. A graduate of the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chris lives in West Hartford with her husband and two daughters. For over ten years, she served on the board of directors of IRIS, an organization that resettles refugees throughout Connecticut.
