Patrick Sims, MS, CPHQ has over 15 years of work experience in the healthcare and fitness industries. Patrick began their career in 2006 as a Fitness Trainer at the University of Kentucky. In 2011, they moved to the University of Arizona Campus Recreation Department, where they served as the Coordinator of Fitness & Wellness. In 2013, they were a Fitness Trainer at Canyon Ranch and a Fitness Trainer at the University of Louisville. From 2014 to 2015, they were the Regional Fitness Director at Orangetheory Fitness, and the SPINNING\u00ae Master Instructor at Mad Dogg Athletics\u00ae. Patrick was also an Exercise Physiologist at Canyon Ranch from 2015 to 2016, and an Adjunct Faculty of Anatomy & Physiology at Brown Mackie College from 2016 to 2018. In 2018, they joined Abbott as an Acute Care Therapeutic Nutrition Specialist and Outpatient Therapeutic Nutrition Specialist, and was later promoted to District Trainer for Therapeutic Nutrition Outpatient and Acute Care Specialists across AZ, CO, NM, NV, and UT. Patrick currently serves as the National Enterprise Executive, Commercial Accounts at Foodsmart.

Patrick Sims, MS, CPHQ is currently pursuing a Doctor of Health Science (DHSc) in Leadership in Clinical Practice from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, expected to be completed in 2023. Prior to this, they obtained a Master's Degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology from the University of Louisville in 2014. From 2011 to 2013, they studied Public Health at the University of Arizona. Patrick obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from the University of Kentucky in 2011. Additionally, they have obtained a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) from the National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ) in 2021, and a CITI Certification in Human Research: Biomedical Investigators from the CITI Program, A Division of BRANY in 2021.
