Ameer Sherif

Co-Founder at FORASNA

Ameer Sherif has a long and robust work experience. Ameer started their career in 2009 as the Product Manager/CTO of BasharJobs, which they managed the development of. Ameer then co-founded BasharSoft in the same year, which owns and manages both WUZZUF and FORASNA, Egypt's leading job platforms. In 2012, they co-founded WUZZUF and in 2015, they co-founded FORASNA, Egypt's #1 recruitment platform for middle- to basic-educated workforce. In 2014, they were the Network Founder for 500 Startups Batch #8. In 2019, Ameer was selected as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum and an Endeavor Entrepreneur. In 2021, they became a Board Member of the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA). Most recently, in 2022, they became a Partner at Khwarizmi Ventures, a Saudi-based venture capital $70m fund investing in Seed to Series A tech companies across MENAP. Ameer also serves as the Nomination & Compensation Committee Chair of EGYTRANS, one of the leading logistics and transportation companies in Egypt.

Ameer Sherif is currently enrolled in Harvard Kennedy School's Global Leadership and Public Policy for the 21st Century program. Ameer is also part of the 8th cohort of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Regional Entrepreneurship Acceleration Program, which they are expected to complete in 2023. In 2020, they completed Executive Education programs at Stanford University's Growth and Innovation Program - Endeavor, INSEAD's Leadership at Scale Program - Endeavor, and Harvard Business School's Scaling Entrepreneurial Ventures - Endeavor. Ameer obtained their MSc in Computer Engineering from Cairo University in 2007 and their BSc in Electronics and Electrical Communications Engineering from Cairo University in 2004. Additionally, they are expected to obtain a Certified Board Director certification from the Egyptian Institute of Directors in 2022.
