Leonard Murphy

Leonard Murphy, MSRE has over 20 years of experience in the commercial lending and real estate industry. Leonard is currently serving as the Vice President - Commercial Lender at Forbright Bank since August 2020. Prior to that, they held the role of Vice President Commercial Lending at FVCbank from 2018 until August 2020. Leonard also worked as a Vice President Commercial Lending at Colombo Bank from 2014 to 2018. Before that, they served as a Credit Officer, AVP at Monument Bank from 2013 to 2014. Leonard has a background in commercial real estate underwriting, having worked as a Commercial Banking Officer - Real Estate at PNC Financial Services Group from 2009 to 2012. Leonard has also held positions as a Director of Sales at Advantage Properties and as a Realty Specialist and Research Manager at GRD Construction Consultants, Inc. Leonard started their career in 1999 as an Accounts Payable Associate at McShea Management.

Leonard Murphy, MSRE, completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Fordham University, spanning from 1995 to 1999. Prior to that, they attended Georgetown Prep from 1991 to 1995, although it is uncertain if they obtained a degree or pursued a specific field of study during that time. Later, from 2007 to 2009, they pursued a Master of Science in Real Estate (MSRE) from The Johns Hopkins University - Carey Business School.
