Amanda Simon

Amanda Simon has a diverse work experience, spanning over several organizations and roles. Amanda most recently worked at the Ford Foundation as the Head of Press and Social Media, a position they started in September 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Media Relations Chief at the same organization from April 2020 to September 2022.

Before joining the Ford Foundation, Amanda worked at Amnesty International USA, starting as a Press Secretary in July 2014 and progressing to Director of Media Relations from March 2016 to November 2017. Amanda then took on the role of National Director, Public Affairs from November 2017 to April 2020.

In 2012, Amanda was the Associate Director of Communications at the American Constitution Society. Prior to that, they gained extensive experience working as a Media Relations Associate at the American Civil Liberties Union from November 2004 to October 2012.

Amanda Simon completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Creative Writing from Western Michigan University from 1997 to 2002.
