Andrew Buchsbaum

Andrew Buchsbaum is the Digital Content Manager at Ford's Theatre Society. Andrew previously served as the Grants Coordinator/Systems Administrator for Senator Ben Cardin from January 2006 to August 2019. In this role, they maintained Senator Cardin's constituent database and designed Access databases for office grant work and special projects. Andrew also oversaw a team of 4-5 letter writers for office constituent mail response. Buchsbaum was responsible for assigning mail, ensuring letter responses were written, helping responses get revised and approved by legislative staff, and preparing reports advising Senator Cardin on mail intake and response. Grant-related duties included drafting letters of recommendation for constituent grant-seekers and assisting grant-seekers to resolve problems with the federal grant process. Andrew was also responsible for office computers, including installation and maintenance of computer systems for Washington Office, State Office, and satellite offices, including office PC's, servers, and smart phones. Buchsbaum designed and coded the office website, which won a Congressional Management Foundation Silver Mouse Award.

Prior to their work with Senator Cardin, Buchsbaum served as a Senior Technical Support Representative with House Information Resources from August 2000 to December 2005.

They are on a team with Cristina Diaz - Patron Services, Theatre & Access Manager, Kristra Forney-Wright - Group Sales Associate, and Meredith Shatzer - Executive Assistant to the Director. Their manager is Leah Yoon Frelinghuysen, Director, Marketing & Communications.
