Dorothy Marinucci was appointed University Secretary in February 2023 and serves as an officer of the institution.
In her role as University Secretary, she is responsible for helping facilitate the governance of the University. The office supports the work of the Board of Trustees, including updating and maintaining University bylaws and statutes. The University Secretary is also responsible for Commencement, Convocation, and other major University events, and undertakes special assignments on behalf of the president and the trustees.
Prior to becoming University Secretary, she was most recently associate vice president for presidential operations and has had the privilege of guiding and participating in all significant aspects of University life. She serves as a member of the president’s Cabinet, has been a member of the University’s Diversity Leadership Team, serves on the executive committee for enterprise risk management, and works closely with the director of intercollegiate athletics and recreational sports. Since 2020, she has served as part of the University’s strategic COVID-19 pandemic response team. In addition, since 2009 she has been co-chair of the International Conference on Cyber Security (ICCS), a joint endeavor with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. She has co-edited the book Advances in Cybersecurity: Technology, Operations, and Experiences (Fordham University Press, 2013).
