Josh Branum

Josh Branum is currently a Junior Financial Analyst at Forecastr. Prior to that, they were an intern at Boomtown Accelerators from January 2018 to May 2018. During their time there, they worked with startup teams on developing product, marketing, operations, and financial plans to prepare for fundraising. Josh also led a customer research workshop to train startup founders on how to solicit feedback from clients, analyze those insights, create user personas, and develop the product roadmap. In addition, Josh facilitated a hands-on class to teach startup teams on how to create and utilize cap tables. Josh also organized a Demo Day to provide 10 start-ups with the chance to pitch their companies. Furthermore, they researched and evaluated pre-seed advanced technology companies on Crunchbase, AngelList, and Product Hunt to identify potential companies and support sourcing for the accelerator. Lastly, they worked with Pennyworth founders to establish partnerships with local apartment complexes to test their service in the market, an “Uber-like” application for household cleaning services.

Josh Branum attended the University of Colorado Boulder, where they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a finance concentration and a minor in economics from the Leeds School of Business. Josh also earned a certificate in entrepreneurial studies from the university.
