Tim Jones

Tim Jones has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple industries. Tim started their career in 1999 at Sprint, where they worked in the Network Operation Center (NOC) until 2000. From 2000 to 2003, they worked at UUnet/WorldCom/MCI as a High Speed Install Engineer. In 2003, they joined Biopay as a Network Systems Engineer for a brief period. In 2004, Tim began working at the National Science Foundation (NSF) as an IT Security Consultant, a role they held until 2011. During this time, they also worked concurrently at IBM as a Consultant, then as a Managing Consultant, and eventually as a Senior Managing (IT Security) Consultant until 2011. From 2011 to 2012, they served as a Senior IT Security Officer & Enterprise Security Architect at the U.S. Department of Commerce, Office of Inspector General. In 2012, Tim joined SRA International as a Senior Cyber Security Architect, and they also worked at the National Science Foundation (NSF) as an IT Cyber Security Architect & SRA Deputy Project Manager. Finally, since 2014, Tim has been with Forescout Technologies Inc., holding various roles such as Federal Systems Engineer, System Engineering Manager, Director of Systems Engineering, Senior Director of Systems Engineering, and currently, as the Regional Vice President of Systems Engineering – Public Sector.

Tim Jones has a Graduate Certificate in Information Security Management from the University of Virginia. Tim also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science, with a minor in Justice Studies, from the University of New Hampshire. Before attending university, they completed their high school education at Bishop Guertin High School. In addition to their formal education, Tim has obtained several certifications including ForeScout Certified Administrator (FSCA) from ForeScout Technologies, Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK) from Cloud Security Alliance (CSA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from ISACA, CORE IMPACT Certified Professional (CICP) from CORE IMPACT, and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)2.
