Ashton Teng has a diverse range of work experience in the field of bioinformatics and software engineering.
They started their career as a Software Engineer Intern at Microsoft in 2017.
In 2018, they worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Koniku.
In 2019, they had two roles. They worked as a Data Science Research Assistant at Stanford University School of Medicine from January to July, and then transitioned to a Software Engineer Intern role at GRAIL, Inc. from July to September.
In 2019, they continued their work at Stanford University School of Medicine as a Bioinformatics Research Assistant from September to June 2020.
In 2020, Ashton joined GRAIL as a Bioinformatics Engineer and later became a Senior Bioinformatics Engineer from January 2022 to January 2023.
Currently, Ashton is working as a Bioinformatics Engineer at Foresite Labs starting from January 2023.
Ashton Teng has a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Data Science from Stanford University. Before that, Ashton earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley. Ashton also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Cognitive Science (Neuroscience) from the same university. Ashton completed their high school education at the Western Academy of Beijing, where they obtained an IB Diploma.
